Covenant Presbyterian Church is a Presbyterian church in Simsbury, CT dedicated to guiding people to Jesus through Sunday worship, friendship, and purpose.
The vision of Covenant Presbyterian Church of Simsbury, CT is to see people encounter the love of God in worship together, to receive the embrace of the family of faith in community, and experience the satisfaction of caring for others in need through a faithful presence in the places we live, work, and play.
What to Expect On Sunday:
Summer Sundays we worship in our outdoor worship area at 9:30am. You will want to park as close to 12 rocks by Celebration Hall as is available (handicap parking is allowed on the lawn beside the outdoor amphitheater). The path to the outdoor worship area is near where the lower parking area driveway and the upper parking area driveway meet just past Celebration Hall.
Most Sundays we serve our very own Barn Blend coffee created and roasted by Giv Coffee especially for us. It is rich and smooth. We hope you like it.
Dress is summer casual.
Children and Sundays:
Please visit the child check in station to sign your children in for Sunday. The nursery is open and staffed for the entire service. The child check in station is at the picnic table at the top of the hill near the outdoor worship area.
In an effort to teach our children more about worship we will be taking a break from Sunday School this summer and switching to Children's worship. Children going into Pre-K4 through sixth grade will join us outside for the first part of the worship service and then right before the sermon we will move inside to Celebration Hall for Children's worship. We will sing worship songs with motions, pray together, read scripture together, and listen to a short children's sermon from one of our church's amazing leaders or teachers.
The nursery in Room 7 will be open for the entire service for children 3 and under. We will return to our usual Sunday School format on September 10.
